Katazome Shi - Subarashi

This Katazome Shi, Japanese decorative paper, is silk screened onto handmade Kozo paper. The large sheets (660x985mm) have an unprinted 25mm border and 4 deckle edges, so the printed area is 610 x 940 aprox. Because of the handmade paper there is a subtle depth and richness to the colours on these sheets. The designs are based on those used in printing traditional kimonos. They make excellent wall hangings, framed or unframed.
